On Wednesday, November 16th, University of Houston’s new music ensemble, AURA, gave a repeat performance of their concert at Sam Houston State University. Below are some still frames from the video. I hope to post the complete work online soon.
Next Monday, November 14, 2011, the AURA new music ensemble will be having their fall concert titled VOYAGES. I’m excited, because a new video work of mine will be adding visual counterpoint to John Luther Adams’ Red Arc/Blue Veil for vibraphone, piano, and electronics. Rob Smith, their director, graciously commissioned me to create this work, and I’m totally stoked about it. Below are more details. Also, make sure to check out the promo video!

My newest collaboration with artist Andrew Zukoski titled Bubblegum Fleshhas been chosen for screening in Los Angeles and Pasadena California as a part of NewTown‘s “Pop-up” festivals.
NewTown will appropriate a two block length of South Lake Street in Pasadena and an area in Los Angeles that remains to be determined, each for one night presentations of a ”Pop-up” festival of media arts. There will be:
outdoor, sit-down space(s) for single screen projections with sound;
rear-projection sites in empty store fronts, silent;
space may also be available for media installations.
A long supporter of my music, Ayn Morgan, recently notified me that my music had made the “top 20″ for her program. It’s exciting to know that people are listening and I’m really appreciative of Ayn’s support. THANKS!
