For Wednesday
Just to make things clear for everybody, here’s what I’d like you to do for Wednesday’s class.
1. Take a look at all the patches I have given you so far (especially the two we looked at in class today). Also, review the tutorials if you need to.
2. Design your own patch that uses what we have learned and produces some sort of sound. Good models are in the “gate-switch-wessel” patch. You may create your own patch from scratch(heehee that rhymes), or you may modify and combine existing patches. Feel free to borrow from the tutorial patches as well. The main point is to be creative.
3. Be prepared to present your patch. You may want to add comments to explain what things do inside your patch so you will have some added help when presenting.
REMEMBER: Be creative!
Friday’s patches
here they are: download patches 2
Today’s Max patches
Download today’s Max patches in .zip format.
Reading etc. for Wed 7
To get you all primed for Wednesday I want you go ahead and download the Max 5 free trial (choose your operating system and then download, that’s it) or get in the studio and open up Max 5. Then read through the following links. Feel free to explore more if you want, but these highlight the basics. If you have problems or questions, feel free to email me, but don’t freak out. Wednesday I will explain a lot.
This information bellow can all be found at this link: http://www.cycling74.com/docs/max5/vignettes/intro/docintro.html
